THE CONRAD | PEARSON CLINIC RECOGNIZED BY MEDICAL GROUP MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION
Local Urology Group Receives
Better Performing Practice Award for Third Year
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: February 20, 2006. The area’s leading urology practice, the Conrad | Pearson Clinic, announced today that for the third consecutive year, the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) has awarded the practice with the distinction of “Better-Performing Practice.”
“We are proud to be recognized once again for our outstanding achievements”, said Rusty DeGeorge, Chief Executive Officer. According to DeGeorge, “Very few practices nationally receive this designation. Our physicians and staff are committed to excellence and to providing our patients with superlative health care and customer service”. Less than 4% of the participating organizations are recognized as a “Better-Performing Practice” by the MGMA, a distinction that requires qualifying in one of the four categories evaluated. The Conrad | Pearson Clinic has qualified in two of the four categories for the past two years, and this year received recognition in three of the four categories.
MGMA, founded in 1926, is the nation’s principal voice for medical group practice. MGMA’s 19,500 members manage and lead more than 11,500 organizations in which more than 240,000 physicians practice. MGMA’s core purpose is to improve the effectiveness of medical group practices and the knowledge and skills of the individuals who manage and lead them.
The Conrad | Pearson Clinic’s primary offices and adjoining surgery center are located in a state-of-the-art facility in Germantown. The Conrad | Pearson Clinic offers a complete range of diagnostic and treatment services for urological care, as well as advanced treatments for prostate, bladder and kidney cancer and serves patients in all of the area’s major hospital systems, including Methodist, Baptist and St. Francis.
